Charlton Parish Council has a vacancy for a Councillor to be filled by Co-option

The Parish Council will consider filling by co-option a casual vacancy for a Councillor at the meeting to be held on Thursday 10^th September 2026

To be a good councillor key skills include the ability to be a good communicator, problem solving, analytical thinking and being a team player. The most important attribute is to care about the community and be willing to take an active role. Further details are available in the following document “Guidance for new Councillors”.

Those who are interested and want to be a candidate for co-option should complete the application form, also available from the Clerk  at clerk@chartlon-worcestershire-pc.gov.uk or by telephoning 07951046541 for a paper form.

Applications should be submitted to the Clerk by Thursday 3^rd September 2026 Any further questions should also be directed to the Clerk.

Should there be more than one applicant the new position will be filled by holding a secret ballot of existing Parish Councillors.
