Welcome to Charlton, a village in the Wychavon district of the county of Worcestershire. It lies between the river Avon and Bredon Hill, approximately 2 miles north west of the old market town of Evesham and around 4 miles east of the pretty Georgian town of Pershore as the crow flies. The Merry Brook, which rises on the lower slopes of Bredon Hill, flows through the village green in the centre of the village, before discharging into the River Avon, on the outskirts of the neighbouring village of Fladbury. The origins of the village can be traced back to prehistoric times, (see separate page summarising the village’s history). The population now totals approximately 550 people, housed in a variety of historic and modern dwellings. There are a number of listed buildings in the village which are shown on a separate page of this website. Cheltenham, Stratford-upon-Avon and Worcester are all within easy reach by road, as is the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Roadworks including road closures are currently scheduled for wb November 17th. Roads included are The Strand, Canada Bank, Yessell Lane, and Boston Lane. Works in this location are being carried out by Worcestershire County Council Maintenance - Wychavon.
